Advocacy

In order to see significant and sustainable change within Cambodian society, it is vital that organizations like Chab Dai speak up on behalf of those who have no voice. In addition to facilitating the advocacy forum, Chab Dai is also involved in various advocacy projects, including advocacy events like Freedom Day, the National Child Helpline, and participating in government and UN task forces and committees.

Rapid Response Alliance Project

In 2009, Chab Dai Coalition partnered with various organizations in a response to the global economic crisis as it related to the female garment factory workers across Cambodia. The Rapid Response Alliance Project aims to reduce the vulnerability of garment workers who have, or are at risk of, losing their jobs and entering the entertainment and sex industry.

In cooperation with UNIAP, World Vision, Precious Girl Magazine, and others, special-edition magazines were distributed to garment factories highlighting information about human trafficking, available vocational training, testimonies, and a special hotline number.

Since the development of this program, over 100,000 magazines have been distributed to factories, and fifteen vocational training programs were developed to help train more than 300 women per quarter.
