As a learning community, Chab Dai aims to see Christian organizations lead the way forward in raising the standard of care for survivors and those at risk of being exploited.
Project Focus
The Learning Community focuses on coalition-building and information sharing in order to build the technical and personal skills of national Cambodian staff who work within our member organizations.
By building coalition with organizations that hold similar values and goals, we can combine resources, experience and commit to supporting one another. This makes each organization much more powerful than they were when they were acting alone.
The coalition also plays a critical role in bridge building - we seek to represent the Christian community in a professional, relevant and collaborative manner within other sectors such as the UN agencies, other prominent organizations, and the Government.
Members
Chab Dai Coalition has 50 member organizations, all within Cambodia who work in areas of prevention, restoration, reintegration, and livelihood development. These members autonomously carry out a wide variety of projects including training, advocacy, aftercare, legal assistance, emergency assessment, transitional living, education and many others.
In order to facilitate and increase collaboration between members involved in similar work and projects, Chab Dai coordinates focus forums that meet on a regular basis. Twice a year all Chab Dai member organizations come together to network, share and learn from one another. In addition, members are given the opportunity to discuss emerging issues in Cambodia and gap areas in programming. These meetings usually occur in May and November.
